The course examines how agricultural activities, including livestock farming, soil management, and deforestation, contribute to the release of greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. It highlights the direct and indirect consequences of climate change on crop yields, food security, and farmers' livelihoods, and national economic growth in Africa.
This module is designed to empower a wide audience including agricultural students, upcoming climate advocates, smallholder farmers, and large-scale producers with the knowledge and tools to understand the relationship between agriculture and climate change.
